The Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandoulière 50 in Monogram Mirror is one of the most eye-catching bags Virgil Abloh made for Louis Vuitton, part of the "Mirror" capsule from the Fall/Winter 2021 collection, shown on the runway. It is made from a reflective silver Monogram Mirror coated canvas that behaves like chrome, throwing back light and surroundings, with the Monogram worked into the mirrored surface. Natural cowhide leather handles and name tag ground the metallic finish, and the hardware is silver-tone to match.
The 50 is the cabin-friendly size of the Keepall, the soft travel bag Louis Vuitton has made since the 1930s, so it is soft-sided and packs down when empty rather than holding a rigid shape. It opens wide along the top zip to a grey textile interior, and comes with the removable, adjustable shoulder strap of the Bandoulière version, so it carries by the handles or across the body. This is a piece bought as much to display and collect as to travel with.
