The Louis Vuitton x NBA Nil Messenger is a cross-body bag from Virgil Abloh's collaboration with the NBA, built on classic brown Monogram coated canvas. It reworks the heritage pattern with sport-inspired detailing: a leather NBA logo patch, a contrast white leather trim, a bold blue leather strap, and gold-tone brass hardware, so it reads as Louis Vuitton first and streetwear second. "Nil" is the model name Louis Vuitton gave this messenger silhouette.
It is a practical everyday size, around 26 by 20 by 8 cm, closing with a zip and opening to a blue textile interior with slip pockets, plus outside pockets and a slip pocket on the back. The adjustable leather strap lets you set the drop for shoulder or cross-body wear, and a removable leather luggage tag finishes it. The mix of Monogram canvas with the NBA branding is exactly the kind of piece that made the collaboration sell out.
