The Louis Vuitton Vertical Box Trunk in saffron is a Virgil Abloh piece from his Spring/Summer 2022 collection, and it turns Louis Vuitton's trunk-making heritage into a compact, upright everyday bag. It is made from cowhide leather in a cool saffron yellow, a boxy mini-trunk that stands vertically and opens wide for easy access, small on the outside but roomy enough for the daily essentials.
The detail that defines it is the Trunk L'Œil treatment, Abloh's play on trompe-l'œil, the art of deceiving the eye.
