Creed Aventus is the fragrance that defined a generation of men's scent, and arguably the most influential release of the last twenty years. Launched in 2010 by Olivier and Erwin Creed and inspired by the life of Napoleon, its name means success, and few fragrances have lived up to a name so completely, it spawned countless imitations and became the default "signature scent" reference point.
It opens on its famous accord: bright, juicy pineapple with bergamot, blackcurrant and apple, fresh and fruity but never sweet. The heart is where it earns its reputation, a dry, smoky birch woven through jasmine, rose and patchouli, which gives Aventus its distinctive smoky-fruity character. It settles into a base of oakmoss, musk, ambergris and a touch of vanilla, warm and long-lasting with strong projection.
